This policy explains how Bruno van Bergen, trading as Bristol & Bath History Tuition ("I", "me"), handles the personal information you provide through this website. It is written in plain terms and should be reviewed and tailored before the site goes live.
What information I collect
I only collect the information you choose to send through the enquiry form. That typically includes:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (optional)
- The student's year group and level
- The exam board (optional)
- Your preferred tutoring format and the message you write
Why I collect it
Your details are used for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry, arrange an introductory call and, if you go ahead, organise tutoring. I do not use your information for advertising, and I do not sell or share it with third parties for marketing.
How it is stored
Depending on how the site is configured, enquiries may be emailed to me and/or stored in a secure database (Supabase). Both are access-controlled. If neither is enabled, enquiry details appear only in the server logs during development.
How long it is kept
Enquiry information is kept only as long as needed to respond and, where relevant, to provide tutoring. If you would like your information deleted, contact me and I will remove it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what information I hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. To exercise any of these, email me using the address below.
